Getting into shape can be a daunting task for many people. Most of us have been guilty of making excuses such as we don’t have time, I don’t like to run, I don’t have a gym membership, I don’t have to impress anybody, I don’t know how to exercise, and the list goes on. If you’re still making any of those excuses you need to snap out of it and realize that your health should be your number one priority among anything else. You can have all the money and love in the world but what is that point if you can’t enjoy it when you’re old? Wouldn’t it be better to be in better overall health so that we can enjoy love and wealth for as long as we are able? That is essentially why every living person should put health in the top of their hierarchy.
It’s not that they don’t have time, it’s because they are TOO lazy to make the time. If anyone says they don’t have the time to exercise then they don’t have a life. You don’t even need a gym membership so money shouldn’t be a problem. As long as you can much walk then you shouldn’t have any excuses for not exercising.
While the physical process itself is actually quite simple it’s the mental part that is the hard part. Many people think of exercising or working out, lifting weights, and running is as painful it is as going to a dentist. Some people just rather sit on their couch and browse social media on their phone or tablets then get up on their feet. They are linking more pain to getting up off couch and more pleasure to just lay where they are.
To fix this we just have to switch our thought process. We need to link more pain having our eyes gazed on social media and more pleasure in becoming more healthy by doing some type of exercise. We need to think of running or going to the gym the same as we think of chocolate, food, and sex. While thinking of being a couch potato is all diabetes and death. Recondition this into anyone’s mind and watch them make a sudden shift.
If you’re an extreme person who thinks exercising is too hard or has never done before so in their life, consider this an opportunity to learn where you should start first. Get familiar with your goals first and once you have that set, write out a plan on how you’re going to get yourself to there. It’s always recommended that to achieve your goals in the fastest time possible, is to follow and let yourself be guided by those who have achieved what you want and model them.
